Professor Steve Schewel is quoted in a front page story in The New York Times about using data to modify police policies. As a Durham City Councilman, Schewel, who teaches Leadership, Policy and Change this semester, pushed for police reforms based on collected data.

Tony Brown hosted another succesful “36 Hours at Duke” program in November bringing alumni from across the country back to campus for a retreat with students. Tony and several program participants were featured on the front page of the News & Observer.
