Ana Ramirez is the Associate in Research for the Hart Leadership Program.

She graduated from Duke in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science & Policy, a double major in Religious Studies, and a certificate in Latino/a Studies in the Global South. During her time at Duke, Ana was a Rubenstein Merit Scholar and a Mellon Mays Research Fellow. She also co-founded Duke Define American, an immigrant student advocacy group and was co-president of Mi Gente, Duke’s Latinx Student Association.

Originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, Ana immigrated to the United States with her family in 2001 and has called Hollywood, Florida her hometown ever since. She is excited for this new role and to continue helping young people engage in their communities and develop as leaders.
