Keona Boston is the Finance Manager and Office Coordinator for the Hart Leadership Program at Duke University. With over a decade of experience in healthcare, Keona possesses a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and a solid commitment to development and engagement that she brings to her role. Before returning to the Duke community, she served as the Hospital Medicine Administrator at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.

Keona has consistently demonstrated a pragmatic approach and a collaborative mindset throughout her professional career. Her extensive experience in departmental operations, policy analysis, finance and budgeting, process improvement, project management, professional development, and comprehensive training for administrative support professionals have been instrumental in her career and where she continues to excel.

In addition to her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Criminology, Keona holds several professional certifications, including Project Management (PMP) and Program Management (PgMP). She is pursuing a second bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus, concentrating on business.

Keona’s dedication to her work is evident in her belief that there are no real problems, only uncharted situations requiring an understanding and a plan. She is committed to the success of the collective. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Keona is a proud mom and a lover of all things music and the color pink. She can often be found enjoying a drink from Starbucks or discussing her family.
