A Community Portrait of Durham Event in Downtown, 10/3 Noon-4pm.

ELI students and members of the local social innovation community will go to Durham’s Central Park this Sunday afternoon to gather with Bull City’ers of all zip codes for a human collage and aerial photo of the Durham flag. This event is free and designed to capture the spirit of Durham in addition to bringing awareness to creative re-use and a capital fundraising campaign for local social enterprise The Scrap Exchange. The afternoon event will feature a downtown celebration in Central Park, hosted by Bull City Forward where everyone is invited to bring family, friends, musical instruments, outdoor games and their own lunch picnic to share on the lawn of Durham’s Central Park. All participants are asked to dress in blue and bring along a blue object that shows what “Durham” means to you, to hold up high in the sky for the aerial photo!
