The Hart Leadership Program is accepting applications for the Patman Political Engagement Project (PEP). Jointly administered by Hart and POLIS: A Center for Politics, the Patman Political Engagement Project inspires and prepares future leaders in democracy and provides them pathways to meaningful participation, contributing to more diverse and inclusive political representation at all levels in the United States. The program is open to all Duke undergraduates in their junior year. Patman Fellows take a gateway course in the spring semester, receive funding to support either senior thesis research or a politically engaged internship, and participate in a range of fall capstone activities sponsored by POLIS.
Interested applicants are encouraged to attend the PEP information session on Monday, September 18th at 5:30 PM in the Rhodes Conference Room (Sanford 223). The application form can be accessed here. The deadline to apply for SOL is Thursday, October 5th at 11:59 PM.
