Hart Leadership Welcomes Hart Fellows for 2012-2013
The Hart Leadership Program welcomes its three new Hart Fellows for the 2012-2013 academic year: Ben Soltoff, Linda Yi, and Alice Zhang. All three are 2012 Duke graduates. After completing a week-long training on campus this month, the three will spend ten months working with non-profits in India, China, and Australia, and they will also complete community-based research projects for their organizational partners. Congratulations to our new Hart Fellows!

Ben Soltoff
Ben Soltoff is originally from Newton, Massachusetts. He graduated with a double major in Biology and Environmental Sciences and Policy, as well as a minor in English. For his Hart Fellowship, Ben will work in Jodhpur, India, with GRAVIS, a local non-governmental organization dedicated to working with the poor to foster rural development.

Linda Yi
Linda Yi, originally from China, graduated with distinction with a major in Visual Arts, a minor in Political Science, and a certificate in Information Science and Information Study. For her fellowship, Linda will work with Hua Dan in China, a non-profit that works with migrant women and children.

Alice Zhang
Alice Zhang is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a major in Biology and a certificate in Global Health. For her fellowship, Alice will work with Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin, Australia, a multidisciplinary organization studying both infectious and chronic diseases, and community health in northern and central Australia.
