This summer, Lizzy Kramer (T’22) worked with Durham-born artist John Felix Arnold III as part of the Leadership and Arts Policy Internship (LAPI), a signature program of the Hart Leadership Program that provides funding for students to pursue internships related to arts policy. Kramer assisted Arnold’s work on his latest solo exhibition, Time As A Sanctuary, and interrogated how art can provoke discussion as well as meaningful community action to combat climate change. See Kramer’s reflections on this experience and learn more about Arnold’s sculptural work at the DukeArts webpage here: https://arts.duke.edu/news/organizing-against-climate-change-through-sustainable-art/
