Can liability insurance for firearms decrease gun violence?
Five students in Professor Kristin Goss’ Political Analysis for Public Policy (PUBPOL 301) course partnered with the Religious Coalition for a Nonviolent Durham through the Research Service-Learning Pathway to answer that question. The RSL students – Sara Constand, Chloe McLain, Ashley Middleton, Elle Infante and Dorothy Wu – analyzed the political implications of implementing liability insurance for firearms in North Carolina. They presented their findings at Shepherd’s House United Methodist Church December 3 in front of 40 community members.
