Aditi Avinash is a sophomore from Castle Pines, Colorado pursuing a self-designed major that integrates ethics, health policy, and medicine. She is especially interested in women’s health and reproductive justice, and in understanding how clinical decision-making is shaped by law, policy, and societal values. Her work centers on bridging research with patient advocacy to advance more equitable and ethically grounded healthcare systems. At Duke, Aditi is involved in Duke Student Government, Duke Chorale, the Duke Medical Ethics Journal, and Progress Period where she engages in leadership and advocacy initiatives that promote gender equity and student wellbeing. In her free time, she enjoys rereading Percy Jackson, watching Modern Family, and collecting vinyl records.
