Major Richmond is a sophomore at Duke University studying Environmental Sciences and Public Policy. He values authenticity, joy, and “chalantness” while being passionate about politics, law, and building a greener future. Environmentalism is his passion, demanding political and collective action. You will see him around campus sitting on the Baldwin Bench, studying on the second floor of Perkins Library, or eating a Sazon quesadilla. Major is a Senator on Duke Student Government’s Services and Sustainability Committee, exploring how Duke’s housing and athletics can further conserve resources. He is also the Chair of the Few Quad Council, seeking unique ways to build a fun residential community. When he is not curating graphics for Duke’s Athletics Marketing team, he’s a proud Cameron Crazie, attending many sporting events even outside basketball. Major loves to play tennis, decorate his room, and take a road trip to the nearest theme park.
