Women’s Economic Security in the Context of Reproductive Rights

I spent this past summer working as the Women’s Economic Security Intern at the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC. On the Friday of my first week there, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade with the devastating Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision. My internship included news and legislative tracking of trigger abortion bans and legal battles happening in states, a memo about decriminalizing sex work, and aiding the Dobbs v. Jackson rapid response through research on Title IX, the ERA, employee protection for out of state travel, and economic consequences.
