Lawrence Wu is a junior at Duke University majoring in History and Economics with a minor in Environmental Sciences & Policy. Originally from Toronto, Canada, he is passionate about advancing environmental policy through legal and economic frameworks. As a Climate Scholar at the Nicholas School, Lawrence works with Duke Law Professor Timothy Meyer on projects analyzing the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and global emissions-trading readiness. He previously worked with the Rachel Carson Council through the Stanback Fellowship, focusing on industrial decarbonization and regulation. On campus, Lawrence serves as Chapter President of KAPi Pre-Law Fraternity and works at the Duke Center for Firearms Law. He aspires to pursue a J.D. to work at the intersection of environmental law, trade, and industry. In his free time, Lawrence enjoys skiing, cooking, and watching Formula 1.
