LAPI Application Process

Attend Open Office Hours
The best way to learn more about LAPI is to attend open office hours with the Program Coordinator, Lee Edelblut. In these office hours, you can learn more about LAPI and ask questions relevant to your particular circumstances.
Lee holds open office hours every Monday + Thursday from 2-5 PM in Sanford 115. Students are encouraged to drop by to say hello and learn more about the program!

Apply Online
The LAPI application is a form that asks applicants to write thoughtfully and concisely about their creative interests, policy engagement, and hopes for leadership development. Duke sophomores and juniors of all majors are encouraged to apply.
Applications for LAPI 2025 are now open!

Applications will close on October 9th, 2024 at 11:59 PM. All application materials must be received by this time in order to be considered for the program.

Register
Once students are accepted, they will receive permission numbers to enroll in the spring gateway course: PubPol 213: Arts Policy, Leadership, and Engagement.
They will also commit to attend an Orientation Dinner on November 13th which will be an opportunity to connect with their peers and learn more details about their participation in the program.
