How to Apply for PEP

The application for PEP 2024 is now open! See below for more details.

PEP Application Process

1

Attend Our Info Session

The best way to learn more about PEP is to attend our annual PEP info session. The PEP 2024 info session will occur on Monday, September 18th at 5:30 PM in the Rhodes Conference Room (Sanford 223). A video of last year's info session can be found below.

At the Info Session you will learn more about the structure of PEP and hear from previous Patman Fellows about their experiences.

2

Apply Online

The PEP application is a Google form that asks applicants to write thoughtfully and concisely about their politically-engaged interests, experiences, and ambitions. All juniors are encouraged to apply.

The application for PEP 2024 is now open. It can be accessed at https://duke.is/6/kwhq.

You can contact the Program Coordinator, Lee Edelblut (lee.edelblut@duke.edu), with any questions.

3

Register

Once students are accepted, they will receive permission numbers to enroll in the politically-engaged spring gateway course: PubPol 490S: Political Communications in a Social World.
