PEP Application Process

1

Attend Our Info Session

The best way to learn more about the Patman Fellowship is to attend our annual information session. At the information session, you will learn more about the structure of the program and hear from previous Patman Fellows about their experiences.

The Patman 2024 info session has already occurred and a video of this year's info session can be found below.

2

Apply Online

The Patman application is a form that asks applicants to write thoughtfully and concisely about their politically-engaged interests, experiences, and ambitions. All juniors are encouraged to apply.

The application for Patman 2024 is now closed.

Applications for Patman 2025 will open in Fall 2024.

You can contact the Program Coordinator, Lee Edelblut (lee.edelblut@duke.edu), with any questions.

3

Register

Once students are accepted, they will receive permission numbers to enroll in the politically-engaged spring gateway course: PubPol 490S: Political Communications in a Social World.

They will also commit to attend an Orientation Session in November which will provide further guidance on preparing to participate in the program.
