Abstract
At Make the Road NY, I worked with the Health Outreach Team and Trans Immigrant Health Project to collect referrals to connect residents to SNAP/WIC benefits, NYC Care, health insurance programs, OSHA classes, and immigration assistance. I also researched and developed accessible-language bilingual presentations for community workshops on SNAP benefits, the Charity Care Assistance Program, and the #Coverage4All campaign. My research portfolio centered on how we can utilize existing Latine family and community networks to support the reintegration process of formerly incarcerated Latino men.
