BIOGRAPHY

Amylyn De Paz-De Paz is a student from western NC, a daughter of immigrant pastors that have taught her the importance of service. From a young age, she has engaged in helping her close community and pioneered efforts to improve education access. At Duke, she continues that mission by working with DukeEngage, Bass Connections, Duke Campus Farm, LangDorm, HelpDesk, Duke RAM, InventHers, and other programs. For Amylyn, Duke and the Laidlaw Scholars Program are catalyzing ways in which she can help her communities. Amylyn is excited to represent people who share her identity. To learn more about Amylyn, check out Duke’s premier student blog called “Trinity in Four Acts,” a series that follows Amylyn’s journey throughout Duke and beyond.
