BIOGRAPHY

Dishita Agarwal is a sophomore studying Neuroscience, Philosophy, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. A U.S. Presidential Scholar, National Merit Scholar, and AAHD Frederick J. Krause Scholar, her personal experience revealed that health is not fixed in hospitals; it is determined by business decisions, policies, and market forces shaping access to care. At Duke, she serves as Vice President of Duke Business Behind Health, leading the annual conference, and as Student Government Senator, where she drove reforms expanding para-services. She also chairs finance for the Women’s Wellness Group. Beyond campus, Dishita has advised Google on AI sustainability, co-authored national health policy research, and presented at the USDHHS Youth Town Hall. She’s the only youth advisor in the Systems & Policy Research Network, a multi-institutional physician coalition advancing pediatric health innovation across the country. She plans to reimagine medicine through business strategy, venture capital, or entrepreneurship: specifically creating markets and technologies for pain communication.
