Grace Marquez
she/herBIOGRAPHY
Grace Marquez is a sophomore A.B. Duke Scholar from Irving, Texas. She is pursuing a self-designed major through Program II that combines medicine, advocacy, and ethics to improve women’s health through accessible, community-centered innovation. Her academic work explores how clinical care, technology, and entrepreneurship can work together to advance metabolic and reproductive health with a focus on equity and design for dignity. At Duke, Grace bridges innovation and holistic health, aiming to translate discoveries into practical tools that lower barriers for both patients and clinicians. Beyond the lab, she draws on her experiences as a nursing assistant and sibling advocate to center empathy and ethics in her leadership. Guided by the belief that care should be both precise and personal, she hopes to build ventures and care models that make high-quality, dependable healthcare the default and not the exception.
