Former SOL Fellow Chitra Balakrishnan (T’21) has been awarded the Ole R. Holsti Prize for excellence in undergraduate research using primary sources for political science or public policy. The awards are distributed by the Duke University Libraries to recognize orginial research and writing of Duke students and encouraging the use of library resources.
Balakrishnan’s winning paper, “Creating Response Networks to Address Victims of Incel Activity,” was based on the summer project she completed as a SOL student during 2020. Hailing from Chicago, Chitra received her Bachelor of Arts with a major in philosophy and a minor in mathematics. To read more about Chitra and her award, click here.
