Former PEP fellow, Jeremy Carballo Pineda (PPS ’22) published an interview with Grammy-nominated musician and former Durham Councilman, Pierce Freelon. In the article, published by the IndyWeek Newspaper, Pineda Carballo interviews Freelon about his Grammy nomination for his children’s album Black to the Future as well as the local influences that impacted Freelon’s development, not only a musician, but a local leader within his community.
